October 15 is Global Handwashing Day, established by the United Nations in 2008 as a campaign for global education on the subject of hand hygiene.
Handwashing plays a key role in preventing germs and viruses from spreading. Regular hygiene is a key factor in diarrhea and respiratory system infections prevention.
Only 30-60 seconds of handwashing with warm water and soap can kill 99% of bacteria on the surface of our hands!
When should we absolutely wash our hands?
• before eating or handling food;
• when you get home;
• after using toilet;
• after taking out the rubbish;
• after blowing your nose;
• after touching or taking care of a sick person;
Hand hygiene is also one of good production practice rules, which guarantees food safety and prevents microbial infection from spreading - an issue of key importance in the process of food production. Educating and raising awareness among our employees in the subject of hand hygiene is one of our objectives we deliver on daily basis, since we consider the quality of our food products to be a priority.
